Group Music Therapy provides the opportunity to use music interventions among individuals with similar needs in a safe, structured, and supportive environment. Common interventions include: song writing, group singing, music and movement, music and art, music and relaxation, music and imagery, toning, group singing, improvisation, and lyric discussion. Each group member is welcomed and supported, and is invited to participate up to their comfort level. Creating a musical space within a group has the potential for exploration, creativity, discovery, and healing.
